According to the relevant provisions of Chinese law, foreigners who live or stay in accommodations other than hotels should apply for accommodation registration within 24 hours after move-in. Residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who live or stay in domiciles other than hotels should apply for accommodation registration within 24 hours (72 hours in rural areas) after move-in. You shall bear corresponding legal responsibility if there is false registration, overdue registration or non-registration.
根据中华人民共和国有关法律规定，外国人在旅馆以外的其他住所居住或住宿的，应当在入住后24小时内申报住宿登记；港澳台居民在旅馆以外的其他住所居住或住宿的，应当在入住后24小时（农村地区72小时）内申报住宿登记。虚假申报、过期申报或不申报将承担相应法律责任。
• If you stay at a hotel, please register at the front desk of the hotel with your passport/ travel document.
如住在酒店，请凭护照（旅行证件）在酒店前台办理住宿登记。
• If you live or stay in accommodations other than hotels, please register at the nearby police station.
如不在酒店住宿，请前往居住地派出所办理住宿登记。
