The documents required for the extension of Work Permit are:
申请工作许可延期所需材料：
(1) Application Form for the Extension of the Foreigner's Work Permit;
First fill out the form online and print it out, then the applicant should sign their name, and have the employer's (authorizing department's) official seal affixed, and finally upload it onto the system.
外国人来华工作许可延期申请表。在线填写打印，申请人签字后，加盖用人单位公章或经单位授权部门公章上传至系统。
(2) Employment contract: the submitted contract shall be in Chinese, signed by the applicant and stamped by the employer. No handwritten alteration is allowed. The employment contract shall contain such essential information as work place, job responsibilities, payment, work duration in China, and position, and page of seal (signature).
聘用合同。应提供中文合同，应由申请人签名并加盖单位公章，不得涂改。聘用合同应当包括工作地点、工作内容、薪酬、来华工作时间、职位、盖章页(签字)必要内容。
(3) the first page of the applicant's passport (or other international travel documents) and an original copy of the information page on the residence permit.
申请人所持护照(或国际旅行证件)首页、居留许可信息页；
(4) Valid Foreigner's Work Permit；
有效的外国人工作许可证；
(5) Other documents that could be required.

The documents required for the extension of Work-type Residence Permit are:
申请工作类居留许可所需材料：
(1) Valid passport or other international travel documents;
有效护照或者其他国际旅行证件；
(2) A completely filled application form and paste a photo* on it. (You can fill in the form at the following spot)
昌平区政务服务中心生命科学园公安分中心（昌平区科学园路9号院4号楼）（以下简称为“办理地点”）
Address: Life Science Park Public Security Branch of Changping District Government Service Center （referred as “ the Office” hereafter）
*The photo should be a recent, half-length, white background, bareheaded, full-faced, 2-inch color one;
申请表填写完后，双面打印并粘贴一张2寸近期白色背景正面免冠彩色照片；
(3) Valid accommodation registration form;
申请人已在本市居住地派出所或旅店办理有效住宿登记；
(4) Valid Foreigner’s Work Permit;
外国人工作许可证；
(5) A certificate expressing consent on the application issued by the university.
学校出具的同意办理签证证件的意见函。
After the Pre-approval is finished, you should get the original copies of all the required documents above (for both the two “permits”) prepared. Please make an appointment and bring them to the Office and submit them for the review.
预审完成后，请准备好上述所有所需文件（“两证联办”）的原件。请提前预约，并将所有材料带至办理地点，进行现场审核办理。
